Overview

Support that meets you where you are

Therapeutic work offers a confidential, non-judgemental space to understand what you are going through and to find a way forward. It is not a quick fix or generic advice: it is a collaborative, evidence-based process, tailored to you and led by a psychologist who takes the time to understand your situation.

People come for many reasons — a build-up of stress or burnout, anxiety or low mood, a difficult relationship at work, or a period of change that has become hard to carry alone. You do not need to be in crisis to benefit.

How it works

A considered, unhurried process

  1. First contact

A short, no-obligation conversation to understand what's bringing you and whether the practice is the right fit for your needs.

  2. Initial session & understanding

A fuller first session to understand your situation, history, and what you would like to be different.

  3. Ongoing sessions

Regular, confidential sessions — evidence-based and tailored to you — at a pace and rhythm that suit your life.

  4. Review & next steps

Reviewing progress together and deciding, when the time is right, how to draw the work to a close.

Questions

Frequently asked

Is what I share confidential?

Yes. Sessions are private and held in strict confidence by a warranted psychologist, bound by professional ethical standards. The few limits to confidentiality are explained clearly at the outset.

How many sessions will I need?

It varies. Some people come for a handful of sessions around a specific difficulty; others value longer-term support. There is no fixed package — we review together, and you are never locked in.

Are sessions in person or online?

Either. Sessions can be held in person in Malta or by secure video call, whichever you are most comfortable with.

How is this different from career coaching?

Therapeutic work focuses on emotional wellbeing and difficulties such as stress, burnout, anxiety, and low mood. Career coaching is bespoke one-to-one work focused on direction and goals in your working life. They are distinct, though they can complement one another.

What approach do you use?

An evidence-based, integrative approach, drawn from established psychological models and tailored to you rather than applied from a template. Psychometric assessment is used only where it will genuinely add to the work.

How do I start?

With a short, no-obligation first contact. It's a chance to talk through what you're looking for and to see whether working together feels right before committing to anything.

Taking the first step

Reaching out is often the hardest part. A short, confidential conversation is all it takes to begin.
